By transforming a personal TikTok scroll into a collective urban spectacle, Doomscrolling Marathon reflects on the fragility of attention in an age of infinite feed. The work turns private digital behavior into shared emotional overload, asking how we perform, absorb, and lose ourselves in algorithmic rituals.

Interpretation

The work creates a powerful commentary on how private digital behaviors become public spectacles in our hyperconnected world. By displaying a curated TikTok feed on a large public screen, it transforms individual scrolling into a collective experience, highlighting both the performative nature of social media consumption and the overwhelming nature of infinite content streams.
